General Terms & Conditions

Thank you for choosing TAGS Chiropractic & Rehabilitation (“TAGS”) for your healthcare needs. These General Terms & Conditions govern the purchase and use of all treatments, sessions, and packaged programmes offered at any TAGS centre. By purchasing or using any TAGS service, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms.

Acceptance of Terms

It is the responsibility of all TAGS patients and customers to thoroughly read and understand these Terms & Conditions before purchasing any treatment or programme. Proceeding with a purchase implies full acceptance of these Terms as they stand at the time of purchase.

Treatment Options

TAGS offers the following treatment options to suit your needs and budget:

  • Ala-Carte Treatments — Individual sessions purchased on a per-visit basis.
  • Packaged Programmes — Bundled sessions at competitive rates, tailored to your treatment plan.

Your attending healthcare practitioner will recommend the most suitable option based on a professional assessment of your condition.

Consent to Treatment

By proceeding with any treatment at TAGS, you confirm that you:

  • Have been informed of the nature, purpose, and potential risks of the recommended treatment.
  • Voluntarily consent to undergo the treatment as recommended by the attending TAGS practitioner.
  • Understand that results may vary and that no guarantee of specific outcomes has been made.

TAGS practitioners reserve the right to modify, adjust, or discontinue a treatment programme if, in their professional judgment, it is in your best clinical interest.

Treatment Validity & Expiry

All purchased treatments or sessions are valid for the period specified at the time of purchase, generally as follows:

  • Ala-Carte Treatments: Valid for 6 (six) months from the date of invoice.
  • Packaged Programmes: Valid for 6 (six) months or 1 (one) year from the date of invoice, depending on the package selected.

Upon expiration, any unused treatments or sessions will become void. Unused session value is non-refundable and non-extendable unless expressly permitted under Clause 5 below.

Refund Policy

All treatments and packages are generally non-refundable. Exceptions are considered on a case-by-case basis under the following conditions:

  • A valid medical reason is provided, supported by a certificate or letter issued by a registered medical doctor.
  • The patient is deceased or has been certified as permanently disabled, rendering further treatment impossible.

Where a refund is approved, the refund amount will be calculated as follows:

Refund Amount = Total Amount Paid − Sessions Redeemed (at standard single-session tariff) − 5% Administrative Charge

All refund requests must be submitted in writing to your centre’s Clinic Manager and are subject to approval by TAGS management.

Non-Transferability

All purchased treatments and packaged programmes are:

  • Strictly for the use of the named patient only.
  • Non-transferable to any other individual.
  • Not exchangeable for goods, vouchers, cash, or alternative services.

Appointment & Cancellation Policy

Arriving for Appointments

Patients are advised to arrive at least 10 minutes before their scheduled appointment to allow for registration and preparation. Late arrivals may result in a shortened session or rescheduling at the discretion of the centre.

Cancellations & Rescheduling

We require a minimum of 24 hours’ notice for any cancellation or rescheduling request. Cancellations can be made via phone, WhatsApp, or in person at your centre.

No-Show Policy

A no-show is defined as failing to attend a scheduled appointment without prior notification. In the event of a no-show, TAGS will deduct the scheduled session from your existing package or charge the session at the standard single-session tariff. Repeated no-shows may affect your ability to book future appointments.

Practitioner’s Right to Cancel Programme

The attending TAGS healthcare practitioner reserves the right to cancel or discontinue a purchased programme where clinically necessary, including but not limited to:

  • The patient is assessed as medically unfit or unsuitable to continue treatment.
  • The patient’s condition has deteriorated or changed such that the current programme is no longer appropriate.
  • Compassionate grounds, including death or permanent disability of the patient.

In such cases, TAGS will refund the remaining unused value of the programme, calculated in accordance with Clause 5, subject to a 5% administrative charge.

Insurance & Panel Claims

TAGS accepts treatment claims from selected insurance panels. If you intend to claim treatment costs through your insurer, please note the following:

  • A valid referral letter from a panel doctor and a pre-approved Guarantee Letter (GL) from your insurer are required before treatment begins.
  • TAGS will bill your insurer directly upon GL approval. Any shortfall between the approved GL amount and actual treatment costs is the responsibility of the patient.
  • In the event that an insurance claim is rejected or partially approved after treatment has commenced, the patient remains liable for the outstanding balance.
  • TAGS does not guarantee the outcome of any insurance claim and is not responsible for delays caused by the insurer.

Deposits

All deposits paid toward any programme, reservation, or promotional offer are strictly non-refundable, regardless of the reason for cancellation.

Tariff Amendments

Prices and treatment offerings are accurate at the time of publication. TAGS reserves the right to modify, withdraw, or reprice any treatment or package without prior notice. Any changes will not affect packages that have already been purchased and paid for in full.

Personal Data & Privacy

When you register as a patient or purchase a treatment, TAGS collects personal and health-related data necessary to provide clinical care. This includes your name, contact details, medical history, and treatment records.

Your data is collected, stored, and processed in accordance with Malaysia’s Personal Data Protection Act 2010 (PDPA) and our Privacy Policy, which is available at tags.my/privacy-policy.

By receiving treatment at TAGS, you consent to the collection and use of your personal data for the purposes of clinical care, appointment management, and internal records.

Governing Law & Disputes

These General Terms & Conditions shall be governed by the laws of Malaysia. Any dispute arising from the purchase or use of TAGS services that cannot be resolved amicably shall be referred to the courts of Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

We encourage all patients to raise concerns directly with their centre’s Clinic Manager in the first instance, as most matters can be resolved efficiently through open communication.
